From October 17 to 19, 2025, the 6th International Conference on Machine Learning and Computer Applications (ICMLCA 2025) was successfully held at Hotel 1034 of the International Academic Exchange Center, Shenzhen Technology University. This conference was hosted by Shenzhen Technology University and organized by the School of Artificial Intelligence, Shenzhen Technology University. It was co-organized by the Talent Work Bureau of Pingshan District (Shenzhen), Peking University, Nanjing University, Sun Yat-sen University, Xiamen University, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Shenzhen University, and the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences. AiScholar provided full-process technical support for the conference.
The conference innovatively adopted an online-offline hybrid mode, featuring a total of 6 cutting-edge expert reports, 13 young scholar reports, and 78 poster presentations. It built a comprehensive academic ecosystem integrating keynote speeches, oral presentations, poster displays, and real-time interactions. The frequent knowledge exchanges and in-depth dialogues during the conference attracted experts and scholars from over 30 universities and research institutions, including Tsinghua University, Sun Yat-sen University, Xiamen University, Sichuan University, Shenzhen University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, City University of Macau, and China State Construction E-Commerce Co., Ltd., who participated in multi-dimensional academic exchanges.

On the morning of October 18, the opening ceremony of ICMLCA 2025 was held by Professor Zhong Ming, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President (Distinguished Professor) of Shenzhen Technology University, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the host institution. He stated that Shenzhen Technology University will continue to leverage its disciplinary advantages in computer science and the characteristics of industry-academia integration, and work with all parties to contribute to building a smarter, more efficient, and sustainable future for artificial intelligence.

Researchers from Zarqa University (Jordan), The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics, Qinghai Minzu University, Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology, and other institutions actively participated, presenting their latest research progress one by one and conducting fruitful discussions.

To encourage innovation, the conference established three awards: Best Paper Award, Best Young Scholar Report Award, and Best Poster Award, with 2 winners selected for each category. These promising achievements demonstrate the vigorous future of the field.

Closing
This conference successfully built a cross-regional, cross-institutional, and interdisciplinary exchange platform, serving as a bridge for communication and cooperation among peers in the industry. Participants engaged in in-depth exchanges, with the collision of ideas and integration of inspirations, spending a wonderful and fulfilling time together.
Academic Visit
As an important part of the conference, a group of participants was organized to visit the BYD Shenzhen R&D Center on October 19. Focusing on the application scenarios of intelligent manufacturing, the scholars observed the core technologies of BYD’s new energy vehicles, digital production lines, and BYD’s technical products on-site. This visit not only expanded the dialogue channels between the academic and industrial sectors but also provided practical ideas and directions for future industry-academia-research cooperation, further enriching the academic connotation and practical value of the conference.
